Oct. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- These meetings will be chaired by IPA President Carl Faulds who will be joined on the panel by IPA Chief Executive David Kerr and Michelle Butler, Head of Regulatory Standards Monitoring. These meetings are intended to give members in the regions an opportunity to discuss key topics of the day, as insolvency services provided by members are increasingly in the spotlight.

Commenting, Carl Faulds, President of the IPA said:

“In the current economic climate more and more companies are facing fundamental problems regarding their financial position, potential restructuring and even survival. As a consequence there are many challenges facing our profession as we go about our business of helping companies in distress. Against this background we have to address concerns raised by the OFT in their recent report including the future structure of regulation, how we handle complaints about our members and the issue of fees.”

The road-shows are to be held in Southampton, Leeds, Birmingham, London, Manchester and Glasgow and details of the events can be seen below.

Carl added:

“By going to major business hubs around the country I want to take the debate to our members and examine with them how we can evolve to address these challenges and improve our working practices. I look forward to meeting a large number of our members and hearing their views on the important issues affecting our role as insolvency practitioners.”
