Oct. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- San Diego, Ca – San Diego Boca FC Reserves (3-0-0) earned their third straight victory in the San Diego County Soccer League (SDCSL) on a cool and drizzly Sunday afternoon match as they beat SDCSL rival Guadalajara (0-2-1) at Helix High Soccer Stadium.

Two separate Boca FC players accounted for the goals, including Justin Picou and Heriberto Romero. Boca FC played the match well enough to capture three points, despite a mediocre first half. Picou scored off a rebound to send the ball in the net for SD Boca FC Reserves' first goal, and Romero scored late in the second half on a nice fast break counter attack to secure the victory after numerous scoring opportunities throughout the game were squandered. The game saw several yellow cards for both sides and Guadalajara played with one man short later in the second half after a dangerous play produced a red card that was presented by the referee.

San Diego Boca FC Reserves Head Coach Papo Santos commented, "Today’s game was a good example of what happens when you don’t start the game strong and play proper futbol. We had to chase all game and we did not play our game until maybe the last 20 minutes where the guys stepped it up. Winning, of course, was positive and we will look forward now to our international exhibition game this coming Tuesday night against Irapuato and Cuauhtemoc Blanco.

The San Diego Boca FC Reserves remain in a first place tie with the victory and look to continue their winning ways in league action next Sunday October 24, 2010 when they battle Pumitas (3-0-0) at 2:30 pm at Helix High Soccer Stadium for the top spot.
