IMC Clubs Releases SAFEBOOK – A Social Network for Pilots

Oct. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Norwood, MA - International safety organization IMC Clubs announced this week that it is releasing to the public a new social media offering for IFR rated pilots. The new offering, SAFEBOOK, allows IFR pilots to connect with other pilots willing to be safety pilots for them.  IMC Clubs President Radek Wyrzykowski commented, “Connecting IFR pilots to people and resources that can make them safer in actual conditions have been a primary goal of IMC Clubs since the beginning.  We are so happy to finally deliver on that promise through this new service. “

SAFEBOOK allows pilots to create a unique profile that reflects their aviation experience as well as the qualifications of the safety pilot or instructor they are looking for. Pilots can search on criteria such as flight experience, licenses and ratings held as well as geographical location.  Both IFR pilots looking for safety pilots and those interested in flying with them may find this to be a valuable service.

IMC Club International Inc. is a membership based organization focused on instrument rated pilots and flight instructors, with a network of chapters throughout the nation.  Their intent is to create a community of pilots in order to share information, provide recognition, foster communications and create safe, proficient instrument pilots.
