PS3’s Fifa 11 outselling Xbox 360’s version– and set to outsell Pro Evo 2011 on main platforms

Oct. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Fifa 11 is the newest instalment to be released by EA Sports, available on many platforms, including the Nintendo Wii, the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. Search data from the UK’s most popular discount voucher codes website shows that the PlayStation 3 version is more popular than both the Xbox 360 and the Wii versions, with 53% of searches, compared to 32% for the Xbox 360 title and 15% for the Nintendo Wii version. Sales statistics validate these search stats, with the PS3 title outselling the Xbox 360 version two to one. The handheld platform versions were excluded from the search data.

The UK’s leading discount voucher code site http://www.MyVoucherCodes.co.uk tracked interest in FIFA 11 in the build-up to release, and has been tracking interest in Pro Evolution 2011 also. FIFA 11 was released on 28th September, and saw more than 13,000 separate onsite searches in the first week of September for the title, compared to half as many searches for Konami’s football simulator in the first week of October, released towards the end of the month.

Fifa 11’s rival, Pro-Evolution Soccer 2011, or PES 2011, also looks set to sell more on the PS3 than it will on the Xbox 360, with 59% of searches related to the PlayStation 3 version already. If the search statistics hold true, the PS3 versions of both FIFA 11 and Pro Evolution 2011 will outsell other platform releases of the games.

In comparison, Fifa 11 looks set to remain the best-seller of the two games, with searches for PES 2011 not matching up to that of its rival.

Deals for FIFA 11 range from money off online, through to price wars amongst leading supermarkets.
