Winters were hard in many regions, and Louis Albright, the academic behind the project, wanted to find a solution for farmers who were otherwise reeling under winter losses. They also had to contend with the limited growing time they had during winters. Controlled environment agriculture or Hydroponics Gardening meant increased production and an indifference to ambient temperature and seasons.

The programs could be advanced enough to take care of nutrient delivery, and controlling operations – for humidity, temperature and light. For hydroponic crops that cannot self-pollinate, a vibrator pollinating hydroponics system can be used. You can again use a computer program to regulate the intensity and duration of vibrations, to ensure that the behaviour of the program regulating your hydroponics system is close to natural crop behaviour.
