Oct. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- In Maui, there is a huge plastic problem: from plastic bags, to bottles, to take-out containers. Skye, the entrant of this project, is a scuba dive master and bares witness to this contamination and affect on the aquatic-life, first hand. People tend to ignore what that can't see and therefore this pollution, which is festering right under the surface is not being confronted. There is no sort of pick up recycling program, and as a result the problem is just worsening. Hawaii is also adjacent to the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, also known as the Giant Floating Plastic Island, which is just what it sounds like: an island, twice the size of Texas composed of trash.  Turning a blind eye to this catastrophe is going to choke our seas and land. Hawaii has amazing natural resources that need to be respected and honored and if we do not start to help our environment now, we are going to lose it forever.

About Heal One World: Heal One World was formed to help connect people in need of preventative healthcare, non-traditional/complementary modalities, natural non-invasive treatments and guidance learning self help techniques that are generally not covered by insurance, and offer access to this help on a sliding scale, free or donation basis.

We hold classes that provide self help and self healing techniques. We assist to arrange and promote clinics where low cost treatment can be found, as well as maintain a database of providers who are interested in helping those in need and create a long term focus of well being of body, spirit and mind.

We also offer people in need a forum to ask questions and state their issues to find the best provider to help them reach their goal of health. We are particularly trying to help children & adults with chronic illnesses.
