Oct. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Black Bag Productions, a full service event planning company based in Laurel, Maryland never thought that one year ago when they announced their online radio show based on Blog Talk Radio that some 3000 plus listens later, they would be celebrating their first birthday.  The show has featured a wide variety of guests and launched two recurring series in its first year Wedding Wednesdays and Travel Thursdays; both launched this past spring and summer respectively.  The guests have included local area artists and business owners, nationally recognized professionals including Deborah McCoy of the American Academy of Wedding Professionals whose appearance was during the blizzard of 2010 and almost did not happen since Moss had no electricity in her home and couldn't access her switchboard.  Colleague and good friend Audra Washington of Arries Media served as show producer from Charlotte NC and the show went on without a hitch. Guests have heard Moss suffer through laryngitis, being stuck in traffic and starting the show from the car, laughter, tears and more, says Moss "I've had so much fun talking to some great guests, some of whom I have never met in person.  They have been so wonderful about coming on the show and talking about their area of expertise or event."

Guests during this first year have included: Bougie Magazine, Arries Media, Events to a T, A Monique Affair, Bella Desires Catering, The Man Registry, Weddzilla, Gisele Perez, Dress the Drink, Wildflower Linens, Helene Weinberg, Dr. Lynn Locklear, UNCF, Pre-Paid Legal, Eddie's Hand Painted Things, KC Flip Books, Bite Sized Bouquets, Fitzy Ice Sculptors, vocalists Melody Gamble and David North and many others.  The debut show aired on November 16 and has strived to bring listeners a little bit of everything in the way of events, interviews, inspiration and fun.   Moss said the idea to start the show sprang from a discussion she had with an online Facebook friend and took it from there.  “The goal of the radio show “ says Moss “ is to give listeners tips and trick on planning special events and what it’s like behind the scenes of planning an event from start to finish.  Everyone thinks its poof magic – little do they know it’s a lot of hard work and planning!”  Moss laughs that even her volunteers who have worked with her for 4 years were surprised at just how much it took to pull off an event.  “Now they have a new appreciation for events they attend and can pick out the details the average person doesn’t even notice.”

Listeners have been able to call in or email in their comments or questions through the online chat room to her, guests, and have been an excellent opportunity for listeners to get a new view on some standard subjects.  In the beginning, the show aired live at least three times each month and after Moss posted a request for guests on Biz Bash and Wedding Wire, the concept of doing a weekly series came about.   The show now airs each week on Wednesdays and Thursdays and any other days the guest does not fit into the wedding or travel category. Previous guests have commented on how they were initially nervous until they started talking and became relaxed due to the nature of host Kim Moss’ easygoing style and questions.  Archives of the previous shows can be found on the company website, Facebook page and show page on www.blogtalkradio.com/blackbagproductions  approximately 30 minutes after a live show has aired.

Moss says plans to add another series in 2011 is definitely in the works, she just has to figure out which day of the week will work best and what the topic will be for the series.   For more information on Black Bag Productions, visit the site at www.blackbagproductionsonline.com
