Re Scheduled Military Date Auction To Benefit Operation Gratitude

Oct. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- On October 28, 2010, Countyline Bar-B-Q and Big Tyme Entertainment will be hosting a “Military Date Night” Auction to help support Operation Gratitude, the non-profit organization that sends care packages to deployed troops.  The auction will be held at Countyline Bar-B-Q in the courtyard starting at approximately 7:00 p.m.   People will be bidding on a “date” with some Military Personnel and the highest bidder will also win dinner (for bidder and date) at Countyline Bar-B-Q .  All proceeds will go to Operation Gratitude to help ship Holiday packages to our troops overseas.   You can help by bringing your checkbook, credit cards and debit cards, along with cash to bid on one of our lovely Military Personnel.  
Big Tyme Entertainment and Countyline Bar-B-Q came up with the idea of a charity fundraiser to help Operation Gratitude after Janine from Big Tyme had requested the organization send a package to her brother Andrew who was deployed in Iraq two Christmas’ ago.  Operation Gratitude has sent over 550,000 care packages to the troops.  For more information, visit www.OperationGratitude.com  
Countyline Bar-B-Q and Big Tyme Entertainment are hoping to raise at least $5,000 to help Operation Gratitude send at least 325 packages to troops that would not otherwise get a care package from home.

Operation Gratitude (www.OperationGratitude.com) annually sends 100,000+ care packages filled with snacks, entertainment items, and personal letters of appreciation addressed to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed in hostile regions.  Our mission is to lift morale, bring a smile to a service member’s face and express to our Armed Forces the appreciation and support of the American people.  Each package contains donated product valued at $125 and costs the organization $15 to assemble and ship.
We hope to make a big difference with our Military Personnel who are proudly serving our country.
