Eclipse Helios Given a Power Boost with MyEclipse

Oct. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Flower Mound, TX – Genuitec, LLC, a founding and strategic member of the Eclipse Foundation, today announced the first milestone release of MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench 9.0. In addition to feature upgrades, the newest release is built to support enterprises that have migrated to the recent Eclipse Helios (3.6) platform.

“Helios is the latest contribution to the open source market from the Eclipse Foundation, and increasing numbers of enterprises are migrating towards the platform,” said Todd Williams, vice president of technology for Genuitec. “By delivering MyEclipse’s rich feature set to this release, developers now have the power and stability to manufacture advanced applications.”  

Additionally in this release, developers will enjoy enhancements to Struts 2 with highly improved diagram support, making the process of creating applications even easier through visible representation. Users of Microsoft Windows can now build applications with Windows 64-bit support bringing richer functionality to their software.  

Other recent enhancements to MyEclipse include the world's first remote, real-time Internet Explorer JavaScript debugger, WTP project support built-in, a standalone Java profiler, UML 2 upgrades, and a Visual SQL Builder among many other tools.

Subscriptions to MyEclipse are available annually for about US $30, $50 or $150 for the Standard, Professional and Blue Editions respectively. MyEclipse for Spring, a new IDE for quickly building rich Spring applications is available for US $199.

MyEclipse 9.0 milestone 1 is available for all operating systems is free for a trial period. Free trial users and those with current subscriptions receive all upgrades and full support at no additional charge.
