Games to close with fabulous performances

Oct. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Commonwealth 2010 Closing Ceremony in New Delhi, India would be the fantastic event to watch out for. Closing ceremony of CWG going to be held on October 14 the event seems to bring in the same kind of anticipation as the opening ceremony. However, the spectators will have a feast with the closing ceremony of the games on Thursday when Jawaharlal Nehru stadium will be once again braces up with the traditional flavours. Closing ceremony will be hosted on multiple segments with spectacular song and dance celebration with a colourful laser show along with India’s martial arts as the main part of the show. Games mascot Shera was absent from the main opening ceremony but he will be present during closing ceremony. At the end of the closing ceremony, the Commonwealth Games Federation’s flag would be officially handed over to representatives of 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
One of the most memorable moment of CWG 2010 is that the India equalled its best ever performance in the Commonwealth Games with 32 Gold medals. India created history by breaking the 52-year-old Commonwealth Games gold medal jinx, with Krishna Poonia winning the yellow metal in women's discus throw to become the first woman from the country to win a Commowealth Games gold in New Delhi on 11th October 2010. India stands on second position with 32 Gold medals, 25 Silver medals, 32 Bronze medals and finally 89 as total. Indian hockey team makes the history by getting into the final and hope will win the gold medal.
