October 12, 2010: International Business Machine Corp.  announced that the IBM Power® 795 achieved the highest result ever published on the two-tier SAP® Sales and Distribution (SD) standard application benchmark with a result of 70,032 SAP SD benchmark users.(1) The 128-core Power 795 handled 79 percent more users than a 256-core Sun SPARC Enterprise M9000 (Oracle's largest system)(2), and 75 percent more users than the 128-core Oracle parallel result published in September running four clustered 32-core Sun Fire X4470 servers with Intel's Xeon X7560 chip(3).

October 12, 2010: Teradata Corporation  announced that it will release its 2010 third quarter financial results before the market opens on November 4, 2010.  Teradata will host a conference call and live web broadcast at 8:30 a.m. ET the same day to discuss the results.  The live web broadcast and replay will be available on the Teradata website at www.teradata.com/investor.

October 12, 2010: HP  announced that it is the exclusive computer provider for NBC-TV’s new school-renovation reality series, “School Pride,” helping to bring technology to underserved communities nationwide.  HP provided a wide range of education technology for classrooms, labs and libraries at each of the seven schools appearing on the show – including schools dealing with flood damage, drastic state and local budget cuts, and declining economies.
