Oct. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- As the nights grow longer and Horribly Hideous Halloween approaches, the Falstaff Halloween Ghost Fest in Stratford-upon-Avon is busy organising even more ghoulish going-ons for this spine-chillingly spooky time of year. Now in its 7th year, the festival will take place at The Fearful Falstaff Experience, a Godiva award winning museum in Sheep Street.

During half term week from 22 – 31 October, children will have the chance enter a quiz, join in pumpkin carving or participate in one of the Horribly Horrendous shows during the day. Shows will take place on the 29th, 30th and 31st and include The History of Halloween, presented by John ‘mad dog’ McCann; Shakespeare’s Vile Villains presented by Ben ‘terrible’ Pugh, and Tales of the Painful Pillories and Blood Beheadings by John the Bloody!

These are just some of the remarkably revolting events that will be taking place. In the evening the grown-ups can look forward to grim reaper ghost tours and grisly ghost hunts in this world famous haunted building, reputed to be “the most haunted in England” according to Horrible Histories children’s author Terry Deary. On Sunday 31st, there will even be Tarot Reader during the day to tell fortunes and at 9pm on Sunday night there will be an extra special ghost tour of the Horrifically Haunted town of Stratford on Halloween night.
This museum is also home to Tudor World during the day, showing the sometimes darker side of Tudor life with realistic recreations in this genuine historic building that Shakespeare himself is documented to have been a regular visitor.

The annual Falstaff Halloween Festival was founded in 2003 by The Falstaff Experience and has become one of the ‘most do’ events at Halloween. The Falstaff Experience appeared on the TV Show Most Haunted Live in 2004 and Derek Acorah called it “one of the most frightening experiences” of his career.

Owners Janet and John Ford said "Our annual Halloween Festival is going to be even scarier than before with a host of spooktacular events for all the family. Our festival is not to be missed, unless you think you might be too scared...”

The Falstaff Experience is open every day throughout the festival from 10:30am – 5:30pm. Tickets cost £4.95 for adults, £3.95 for concessions & students, £2.25 for those under 16 and £10.95 for a family (2 adults & up to 3 children). The shows are included in the entry price. The Grim Reaper Ghost Tours take on Saturday 30th October at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, 9pm @ £10 per person (£9 if in Halloween costume) and includes a Frightfully Fearsome Falstaff gift and on Sunday 31st October at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm.  A ghost tour of Horrifically Haunted Stratford starts at 10pm on the 31st @ £8 per person (£15 for both tours). Halloween Ghost Hunt on Friday 29th October and Saturday 30th October cost £59.95 and include a free dowsing crystal. Please note Sunday 31st ghost hunt is already sold out. All events must be pre-booked and are subject to availability.
