Food Donations Now Being Accepted

Economic downturn is still affecting families and children in need.

Oct. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Morning Star Community Christian Center is now accepting donations of non-perishable food items for baskets to be distributed to those in need for Thanksgiving.  Turkeys will be accepted from those who wish to donate them.

Last year Morning Star donated more than 300 baskets to needy families. Senior Pastor Therman E. Evans has challenged his membership to give more than 500 baskets this year.  

Donations of non-perishable food items may be dropped off at the church,1009 Chandler Avenue, Linden, through November 24th.  For turkey drop off times and locations, please contact the church office at 908-925-7979 Ext. 3.
