New Katt Williams Documentary Covers Controversies

Salient Media/Vivendi Universal to Release New Documentary Film on Comedian & Actor on DVD on November 2, 2010
Oct. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Los Angeles,CA - Comedian, rapper and actor Katt Williams will be making headlines again with the release of a new documentary this fall, due out November 2, 2010 on DVD from Salient Media/Vivendi Universal.  "Katt Williams: 9 Lives" covers Williams' entire career, and includes such rarities as never-before-seen footage of his early stand-up gigs at the Hollywood Park Casino, in Los Angeles. The film also features new interviews with several of Williams' close friends -- such as fellow comedians Luenell and Red Grant -- who share previously unheard and crazy stories about their experiences with Katt.

The documentary doesn't shy away from controversy, exploring Katt's numerous encounters with the law; his adopted children; Katt's reported nervous breakdown; and his subsequent retirement. "Katt Williams: 9 Lives" gives viewers a no-holds-barred view into the life of a celebrity who normally keeps a tight lid on his personal life.  About his recent run-ins with police, Luenell states in the film, “I hope all the court stuff stops, because it’s bad publicity and makes me worry.”

The film was directed by Phillip Andrew Morton, producer of "Katt Williams: Katthouse Comedy" and Regina King's upcoming documentary "The Story of a Village."

"Katt Williams: 9 Lives" is available on DVD in stores everywhere on November 2, 2010 via Salient Media/Vivendi Universal.
