Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort (LVSSR) is offering a special preseason discount on its seven 2010/11 season pass options from now through Monday, November 1, 2010. Season passes can be purchased several ways, such as online at www.skilasvegas.com.

Oct. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Las Vegas  –Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort (LVSSR) is offering a special preseason discount on its seven 2010/11 season pass options from now through Monday, November 1, 2010. Season passes for the area, which in the 2009/10 season experienced the longest season of its 47-year history, can be purchased online at www.skilasvegas.com, by mail via forms downloaded from the LVSSR website, or by visiting the Ski Vegas city office at 7501 Tule Springs Road, Suite 110, in Las Vegas, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Telephone orders are also accepted by the Ski Vegas city office between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. by calling 702-645-2754. All preseason pass orders must be received by 4 p.m. on November 1, 2010.  

   “We designed the preseason pricing program so that local skiers and snowboarders could save while taking advantage of the opportunity to experience what’s going to be an exciting season at Ski Vegas. A part of that excitement is easier access to the area,” explains Curt Sheffield, LVSSR’s director of business administration. “We’re currently expanding the Ski Vegas Ski Bus route so access will be much more convenient for Valley residents,” he says, noting that the official route will be announced in the weeks ahead.

   Powdr Corporation operates LVSSR in addition to seven other major ski areas, and LVSSR season pass holders receive a 20 percent discount on lift tickets at its sister resorts, which include Park City Mountain Resort outside of Salt Lake City and Copper Mountain in Colorado.

   Season pass holders may have pass photos taken at the Ski Vegas city office prior to opening day, which is typically in late November. Photos can be taken Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and pass holders must present a valid photo ID. After opening day, photos can be taken at LVSSR’s guest services office at the ski area.

LVSSR preseason prices are as follows:
*Children’s Pass - $200
Available to kids up to 12 years of age, proof of age is required.

*Youth Pass - $280                  
Available to those between the ages of 13 and 18 years old, proof of age is required.

College   Pass - $349
Available to students of any age who can provide proof of enrollment for the current semester at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, College of Southern Nevada, or Nevada State College.

Military Pass - $349
Available to those currently serving in the United States military with a valid military ID.

Senior Pass - $400
Available to those 60 years of age or over with a valid ID.

Weekday Only Pass - $525
Valid for skiing and snowboarding Monday through Fridays only, not valid on the weekends.

Adult Unlimited-$550

* Those pass holders under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign an Acknowledgement of Risks and Purchase agreement, also available online.
