Lissa Stewart named International Correspondent for PMForum & PM World Today in South Africa

PMSA leader in Durban joins Global Correspondents Network to provide project management news from KwaZulu-Natal Province and South Africa’s busiest Port City

Oct. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Dallas, Texas — PMForum, Inc announced today that Ms. Lissa Stewart has been named an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in Durban, South Africa.  PMForum’s global network of international correspondents delivers project management-related news and information from around the world and provides local representation.  PMForum operates www.pmforum.org, the world’s first website devoted to professional project management, and produces the popular monthly online global project management e-Journal PM World Today.

According to PMForum Managing Editor David Pells, “I had the opportunity to meet Lissa Stewart at the PM South African national conference last month, and to see her in action as part of the PMSA conference team.  As we were looking for another correspondent in South Africa, I was delighted when she expressed interest.  Now I am very excited to have her join our global correspondents team.”

Lissa Stewart, PMP is a Programme Manager practicing in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.  She has BSc and MSc degrees from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Lissa gained her experience internationally in London, where she consulted in the transport industry where she implemented strategic initiatives such as London’s Congestion Charge and other transport strategies. Returning to South Africa, she has consulted in the IT, financial, insurance and other industry sectors, with a passion for people and always striving to deliver organization strategy.  Lissa is committed to growing the need for Project Management in South African industry.

Having gained her Masters degree in Environmental Management, she increased her qualifications in Project Management, gaining her PMP certification from PMI and becoming proficient in various methods and skills. Lissa is past president of the Project Management South Africa (PMSA) KwaZulu-Natal branch and is now a National PMSA executive committee member.  PMSA is a non-profit organization that endeavors to increase Project Management awareness and professionalism throughout South Africa.  Lissa Stewart lives in Umhlanga, the new business and shopping hub near Durban.
