Oct. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Corpus Christi, Texas – October 7, 2010 – Visiting Physicians Association® (“VPA®”, www.visitingphysicians.com) announced the addition of Andres Alaniz III, M.D., to its recently opened office in Corpus Christi, Texas.  The Corpus Christi office covers all of Nueces, Kleberg and San Patricio counties and portions of Aransas, Bee and Jim Wells counties.  

The hiring of Alaniz places him among the more than 150 highly qualified physicians available to assist in the diagnosis and ongoing medical treatment of seniors.  VPA, America’s leader in house call medicine and specialists in geriatric care, has 31 locations in nine states including Michigan, Ohio, Florida, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Texas and Virginia.  

Alaniz comes to VPA after working as an Associate Physician at South Texas Family Medical Center in Alice, TX.  He was also an active member of the medical staff at Christus Spohn Alice Hospital and served as Medical Director at Christus Spohn Alice Laviana Hospital both in Alice, TX.  

Alaniz earned his medical doctor degree and completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Texas Medical Center in Galveston, TX.  He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in biology from Baylor University in Waco, TX.  He holds active licenses from the State of Texas;


Medical, Drug Enforcement Administration and Department of Public Safety-Controlled Substance.
