Oct. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Geek soap inventor DigitalSoaps now offers stocking stuffers geared toward gamers.

"My favorite additions are the red and blue Gameboy cartridge soaps sold in original cases," said company owner Chrystal Doucette. "They are a tribute to Pokemon."

DigitalSoaps is known for inventing game controller soaps celebrating the modern Wii, Xbox and PlayStation systems, alongside retro SEGA and Nintendo systems.

The special line of stocking stuffer-sized soaps is available now in the online Etsy store, DigitalSoaps.etsy.com. They will be added soon to DigitalSoaps.net.

A set of two "Robot Clones" is packaged in a gift box and sold for $5. Miniature Wiimote lookalikes, which DigitalSoaps previously sold but discontinued, have been brought back to the shop. Those are $4. A special "emerald green" Gameboy Advance cartridge was added to the store as well. They are $3 and include a genuine Gameboy case.

"It was important to me that these be affordable," Doucette said. "Most of the smaller soaps can be purchased together with no increase in shipping costs."
In addition to robot soaps, tiny Wiimotes and special edition cartridges, DigitalSoaps offers 6-piece sets of Space Invaders packaged in a gift box.

"Many of my other products can serve as stocking stuffers, too," Doucette said. "I have caffeinated NES controller soaps, full size Wiimotes, and a space-filling 12-ounce Mountain Dew-scented shampoo. I also have SEGA Genesis and Super Nintendo cartridges."

DigitalSoaps was founded in a whim in 2009 by Doucette. Her soap was the first to communicate with subcultures of gamers and geeks. Initial products included cell phones, iPods, and even a 3D chess set.

The first video game-themed soap, a PlayStation 2 replica controller, received so much attention, Doucette decided to start making more video game controller replicas.

"This smaller controller is still available alongside a full-sized, hand-carved PlayStation controller soap," Doucette noted. "It costs less than $6 and would also make a nice surprise in someone's stocking."

Each product is made in her home. Chrystal remains committed to using only high quality, vegan ingredients in her soap.
