Oct. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Like central air conditioning systems, mini split air conditioners have two main components: an outdoor compressor/condenser, and an indoor air-handling unit. The most significant advantages of split air conditioners are their small size and their ability to be utilized for zoning and/or heating and cooling individual rooms. Split air conditioner units can have as many as 4 individual indoor air handlers (providing 4 rooms or zones) connected to 1 outdoor unit. The number depends on how much heating or cooling is required for the space or for each zone (another factor is quality of the insulation used in the structure of the home or building). Since each of the split air conditioner rooms/zones can have its own thermostat, you can choose to turn off that zone when no one is there, which saves electricity and cuts down your electric bills.  If you are in an office building at a high floor, you can setup an Outside Compressor using a Wall Bracket.
Ductless mini split systems are often easier to setup than other types of space conditioning systems. For instance, the connection between the outdoor and indoor units generally requires only a 3 inch (about eight centimeter) hole through a wall for the conduit. The majority of producers of this type of mini split air conditioning system provide many different lengths of connecting conduits. This means that if you need to, you can locate the outdoor unit as far away fifty ft away (about fifteen meters) from the indoor evaporator. This means it’s possible to cool rooms in the front of a house or building with the compressor in a more desirable location on the outside of the structure. Since mini splits have are ductless, they don’t experience the loss of cool air associated with ducts of central air conditioning systems. The loss of cool air from ducts often account for over thirty percent of  electricity used in conventional systems, especially if the ducts are in a space that is not being cooled, such as an attic.
When compared to other add-on systems, mini split air conditioner units offer more options to work with your interior designs. Indoor air handlers can be mounted flush into a dropped ceiling, hung from a ceiling, or simply hung the wall of your choosing. Free standing models are also available that stand on their own on the floor. The average indoor unit has a profile of around 7 in. (about 18 centimeters) and often come with stylish, new-age looking jackets. A wide variety even offer a battery operated remote control to make it unbelievably easy to utilize the system when it’s mounted from a ceiling or high up on a wall. Split-systems are also able to assist you in keeping your home safe, as there is only one small hole in the wall. Through-the-wall and window-mounted room air conditioners are susceptible to intruders, where mini split air conditioners. Want to learn more about Mini Split Air Conditioners?
