CEWR Holds Special Petition Signing October 11th

Oct. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- Sattler, Texas – Representatives of the Coalition for Equitable Water Rates (CEWR) announced that they will be holding a special petition signing to protest the proposed 71% water rate increase by Canyon Lake Water Service Company (CLWSC). The petition signing will be held on Monday, October 11th at the Super S Foods store on Sattler Rd, Canyon Lake, Texas from 10am to 7pm. Representatives announced the signing to afford greater opportunity for customers of CLWSC to participate in the CEWR’s challenge to the excessive water rate increase.

As the CEWR was denied a customer list from which to identify potential signers, it is believed this would allow the greatest chance to contact individuals who are impacted by the water rate increase. A majority of the customers of CLWSC live in or around the Canyon Lake area.

The Coalition for Equitable Water Rates (CEWR) is a non-profit organization of local residents representing residential and business interests to insure that fair and competitive water rates are provided by the Canyon Lake Water Service Company.
