Alexandria Hyundai Dealership Announces 2011 Accent Models

The Accent is typically described as a great choice for drivers looking for a safe, basic, fuel efficient vehicle.  It offers drivers with an affordable driving option, but with good brakes, power and handling capabilities, the Accent is a top choice in terms of value.

Alexandria Hyundai has both hatchback models and sedans in stock now.  Of the four trim levels- Blue, GS, SE and GLS- the Blue, GS and the SE are two-door hatchbacks and the GLS is a four-door sedan.

All models run on a 1.6-liter four cylinder engine which features dual-overhead-cam design.  All have front-wheel drive and are available with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission, except the Blue, which is only available with a manual transmission.

In 2010, the entry-level Accent hatchback, the Accent Blue, has a lowered ride height to improve aerodynamics and comes only with a manual transmission fitted with fuel-saving gear ratios to maximize fuel efficiency, which drivers should expect for 2011.  All models have low-rolling-resistance tires for increased efficiency.

EPA mileage estimates for 2011 Accents have not been released yet, but are expected to be the same as 2010 models.  In 2010, the Hyundai Accent Blue fuel-economy rating was 28 city mpg and 36 highway mpg.  The Hyundai Accent GS and SE hatchbacks and the 2011 Accent GLS sedan achieved 28 city mpg and 34 highway mpg with manual transmission and 27 city mpg and 36 highway mpg with automatic transmission.
