Free HTTPS Website Monitoring and Alert Service Launched

It checks a given website at regular intervals and sends an email alert, sms alert or twitter alert for free to one or more contacts if the website is inaccessible due to any reason like server failure, certificate failure, etc, so that corrective action can be taken quickly, minimizing the website down time.

SysOjo.com is very powerful yet easy to use. It provides a very easy and intuitive interface to add website monitors. A webadmin has to just add the URL to be monitored. Usually the URL is the website home page, however any other URL works equally well. Then, depending on the website importance, the URL can be selected to be monitored at time intervals ranging from 1 minute to 1 day. Webmasters can also select which and how many alerts to be sent for each event. Currently, alerts using email, sms and twitter are supported. Alerts can be sent to one or more contacts.

Each time a website is checked, a log is created and saved in the database for account holder's reference. Detailed logs are retained for a month. In the event a website goes down, webmasters can look into the logs to see when and what error message was returned by their web server. Though this information is sent in the alerts also, it is specific to that very check. Logs allow all checks to be analyzed in case deeper debugging is required. Users can also see graphs of parameters being monitored.

Another great tool provided is the stats page showing current website status along with daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and all time website uptime statistics. Other parameters like response time can also be added to the stats page. The uptime stats page can be made public also with the click of the mouse. This allows the webmaster or other concerned personnel to check the website status without actually logging into the account.

SysOjo.com provides a comprehensive solution to monitor any type of webpage by allowing users to choose the HTTP method to check their website. Currently, HEAD, GET and POST methods are supported. Even password protected pages can be monitored and the POST option allows webpages with forms to be monitored.
