Follow on Google News | Licensees Favour Smoking Ban ReformA survey (1) by Freedom2choose reveals that 80% of licensees want the smoking ban legislation reformed to give operatives more choice on how they run their business.
By: Freedom2Choose Phil Johnson, Chairman of Freedom2choose said, "this survey of 570 pubs comprehensively proves the need for change within the smoke ban law which, so far, cannot be proven to have saved even a single life. Business closures have been horrendous as a result of this legislation, as they have in Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The Health Lobbies have been granted too large a grip on our way of life and now simply want to rule our lives on a daily basis. What is life if there is no enjoyment, no fun, no pleasure? We might as well be as Stalinist Russia was." He further commented, "we have fake charities, who use any means they can, to thank for this deplorable situation where the freedom to smoke a perfectly legal and heavily taxed product is being challenged at every turn. Freedom2choose fully respect the rights of non-smokers but it seems that non-smokers ignore the rights of smokers. It is a farcical situation when, after decades of natural decline, this law is introduced and smoker prevalence begins to rise."
