By: Jon Singer OF THE RISKS KIDS FACE FOR BULLYING INCLUDING JAIL Think Before U Click Promoting National Campaign to Warn Students of Risks They Face for Bullying After Tragic Suicide NEW JERSEY — Just days after the tragic death of Tyler Clementi, an 18-year-old Rutgers University student and victim of bullying, Jonathan Singer, founder of Think Before U Click in Tenafly, New Jersey, recorded an original music video to illustrate how kids can destroy lives, including their own, with a single mouse click. To watch the video, go to: http://www.youtube.com/ Launched during National Bullying Month, Singer commented, “if the accused students are found to be responsible for Tyler’s death, they must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, perhaps without parole, to set an example so all students think twice before making the wrong click.” Singer is encouraging major technology companies to support a massive public relations campaign, to warn even the youngest students of the consequences of abusing technologies such as Formspring that can destroy reputations, lead to depression, and, tragically, as in Tyler’s case, can result in death. Singer created ThinkBeforeUClick.org in Tyler’s memory, to make it completely clear that young people can wind up in jail if they don’t think before they click. For more details go to www.ThinkBeforeUClick.org. # # # Think Before U Click is dedicated in memory of Tyler Clementi, who committed suicide because of bullying. Think Before U Click is an effort to help put an end to bullying, by warning students of the consequences of bullying including going to jail. End
