Prior to joining the Times, she worked in global business development and strategy for both Dow Jones/WSJ.com and CNBC, and as a producer for the Emmy-nominated morning show, "Bloomberg on the Markets." An alumnus of the Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Economics and Business Journalism, the field’s most prestigious mid-career program, she earned a joint degree of a Master's in Journalism and a MBA with a concentration in Social Enterprise from Columbia University. Formerly a reporter for the Associated Press, Ms. Mukherjee has written for many publications, including Business Week and the Far Eastern Economic Review, and launched Miller Publishing’s Where Hong Kong magazine as its first editor-in-chief.
