Oct. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- (San Francisco, CA  - September 30, 2010) -- The authors of the bestselling book, SKIRTWorking, How To Network Using SKIRT, have tapped into the unique benefits of relationship marketing to turn ho-hum networking into business-building success. Together with co-sponsors, the Hyatt Regency San Francisco and KRON 4, the trio of authors is hosting Work that SKIRT 2, to teach the SKIRTWorking phenomena of Sharing Knowledge, Information, and Resources Together. The October 21st event will be held at the Hyatt Regency, 5 Embarcadero Center, San Francisco, and will include notable movers and shakers along with members of the San Francisco and Los Angeles SKIRT chapters. The event is beneficial for those who are seeking to add successful, knowledgeable people to their network, learn how to optimize their current network, and those who are interested in obtaining employment.
Founded on the realization that a handful of business cards doesn’t produce measurable results, the authors of SKIRTWorking, Michelle Alberda, Michelle Balog, and Stacey Fleece, will share with business professionals the right way to network using SKIRT. Attendees will also receive a copy of SKIRTWorking: How to Network Using SKIRT, the Power SKIRTWorking strategy, and access to like-minded professionals who are also seeking to build their business.
VIP attendees to the event will also receive a one-hour workshop with the authors and founders of SKIRT San Francisco, an autographed copy of the book, plus a copy of the new workbook, SKIRTWorking: The How-to Guide to Start Your Own Referral Network. Both VIP and general admission attendees will receive light appetizers, cocktails, goodie bags, and entries for several fabulous prize drawings.
SKIRT, which stands for Sharing Knowledge Information and Resources Together, takes advantage of the natural networking ability business people possess and shows them how they can use it to build referrals and relationships that will attract success. The SKIRT strategy was born from the authors’ desires to capitalize on both the power of referrals and relationships. They also wanted to teach other small businessmen and women how to positively impact and accelerate their business growth. The idea for SKIRTWorking was born out of this collective desire – people helping people build business for the collective success of all.
Early-bird VIP admission for the event is available for $97. General admission is $30 ($35 at the door). Tickets are limited and details are available at www.SkirtWorking.com. A portion of the proceeds will go to Bay Area Women’s Initiative for Self Employment (www.womensinitiative.org).
