State of the art in-car video system launches in USA
Racing drivers Nigel Greensall and Nikki Welsby are touring the States to present Racelogic's state of the art in-car video system.
Optimised for Motorsport and Track days, Video VBOX combines a DVD quality multi camera video recorder, real-time graphic overlay and a 10Hz GPS data-logger in a single, powerful package. In addition, a high brightness OLED lap-timing display with Racelogic’s ‘LineSnap’
Racing drivers Nigel Greensall and Nikki Welsby have been employed as consultants by Racelogic and are touring the States from September 2010, to demonstrate the system to racers and set up a distribution network across America.
Nigel is a highly successful Pro racing driver and coach and has been racing and instructing drivers for over 20 years throughout the world. He said: “I’ve been on the look-out for a quality, affordable and accurate video and data system for years - the Video VBOX has enabled me to offer a much better service to my students. Over the past year, Video VBOX has become integral to both my instruction and racing, so I now promote it whenever I can!”
Nigel’s partner, Nikki, has been a marketing consultant for the past 11 years and also won the UK’s Formula Woman Championship in 2006. Nikki said: “It would have been wonderful to have had access to the Video VBOX when I was racing, so I’m excited to be promoting the system worldwide now.”
GPS-enhanced video logging is fast becoming an essential tool in driver and vehicle development. Video VBOX is widely regarded as one of the very best in-car video systems available, in terms of video quality, flexibility, update rate, graphics resolution and reliability.
Video VBOX has two different versions. Video VBOX Pro is a no-compromise package aimed at motor racing professionals, whilst the lower cost Video VBOX Lite has been developed with the club racer and track day enthusiast in mind. Both versions are designed to be rugged and reliable and can be used on race and road cars, bikes, boats and even aeroplanes.
The Video VBOX team will be exhibiting at the PRI Show in Orlando in December, so look out for them on Stand 3748 to try out the Video VBOX system or discuss distribution.
Julian Thomas, MD of Racelogic, said: “We’re excited to offer Video VBOX to the large and diverse motorsport market in the USA. With their wealth of hands on experience, Nigel Greensall Motorsport is ideally placed to promote the benefits of Video VBOX.”
