Denver's German American Chamber Appoints Two to Board; Announces Coming Events

Oct. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- DENVER, Colo. -- The Colorado Chapter of the German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC-CO) today announced the appointment of Matthias Edrich and Joshua Seeberg to its board of directors.

Edrich is an attorney-at-law in the Denver office of the Ohio-based law firm of Peck, Shaffer & Williams LLP.  Previously he was with the US Department of Justice Antitrust Department, the Munich office of the general counsel to BEA Systems and the Munich and Boulder-based offices of Sun Microsystems (both BEA and Sun are now owned by Oracle). Edrich holds an International MBA and a Juris Doctorate from Denver University’s Daniels and the Sturm College of Law.

Seeberg is an adjunct professor of German at Metropolitan State College of Denver. He is also a property manager with Metrex Property Group. In addition, he recently formed a translation firm, Guest Services Translations, LLC located in Denver. Seeberg holds a Bachelor's degree in German and History from the University of Colorado at Denver, and earned an M.A. in German Studies from the Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg in Germany.

The GACC-CO has three future events on its calendar. During October it offers a business networking luncheon for which the topic is "The Euro: Managing Currency Rate Changes in Troubled Times; is there a Euro Collapse in Your Future?" Also in October is Treffpunkt Business (international business networking for opportunities in Germany) at India’s Pearl restaurant in Denver on Thursday, October 21.

Finally, in November the GACC-CO will host a networking reception with a delegation of eight wind energy companies visiting from Germany in search of business opportunities. The reception will be on the evening of November 11 in the Denver metro area.
