Sept. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- (SEATTLE) Safeco Insurance Foundation has given $15,000 to St. Vincent de Paul to help needy families and individuals in Seattle/King County. The Safeco Insurance Foundation grant will help St. Vincent de Paul prevent eviction, hunger, utility shut-off and more. This assistance comes as the 2-1-1 Community Information Line reports that St. Vincent de Paul is their most referred to agency in Seattle/King County. The Catholic lay-run charity helps all in need regardless of creed and is celebrating its 90 anniversary year of serving the poor in Seattle. Over 67,000 people were assisted in 2009.

“We are thrilled with the timing of Safeco’s grant. These funds will enable us to help more of our needy neighbors who are contacting us in greater numbers than ever,” said Andre de Klaver, Executive Director, St. Vincent de Paul Society of Seattle/King County
