Auspit Outdoor Rotisseries to Compete at World's Largest BBQ Competition
Auspit makes its debut at the American Royal BBQ Competition in Kansas City. “Jonny Rotisserie and the Auspiteers” will be returning to the origins of barbecue, cooking all of their entries using a rotisserie spit over an open fire pit.
While many competition BBQ teams utilize high-tech, dedicated BBQ trailers, the “Jonny Rotisserie and the Auspiteers” team will be returning to the origins of barbecue, cooking all of their entries using a rotisserie spit over an open fire pit.
“The cavemen were on to something” said Jonny Rotisserie, Chief Kangaroo at Auspit Outdoor Rotisseries, “they had a stick, some meat and a fire. This is how barbecue began.”
With up to 500 teams competing, the American Royal is the world’s largest BBQ competition, making it one of the toughest cooking contests on the planet. The Jonny Rotisserie and the Auspiteers team will be entering all four of the main meat categories: chicken, pork ribs, pork shoulder and beef brisket, plus the extra side categories of potatoes, vegetables, and dessert.
