Covenant Consulting Group Recieves Accounting Today Honor

Sept. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Covenant Consulting Group LLC, a regional accounting firm with offices in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa has been honored and chosen as one of the Best Accounting Firms to Work For in the nation.  Covenant Consulting Group was one of only two Alabama firms recognized for this prestigious award.

Covenant Consulting Group participated in the 2010 survey, which is conducted by Accounting Today and Best Companies Group.  The survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the accounting profession, which benefit the nation’s economy, its workforce and businesses.  The Best Accounting Firms to Work for list comprises 100 companies across the country.  

As one of the top firms to be a recipient of this award, Covenant Consulting Group LLC will be attending an awards luncheon on November 17, where they will be announced and honored during Accounting Today’s Growth & Profitability Summit in Las Vegas.  In addition, Covenant Consulting Group will also be recognized in the December 13 issue of Accounting Today.

This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the accounting industry, benefiting the nation's economy, its workforce and businesses. The Best Accounting Firms to Work for list is made up of a total of 100 companies, split into three groups: 45 small-sized companies (15-49 employees), 45 medium-sized companies (50-249 employees) and 10 large-sized companies (more than 250 employees).  Covenant Consulting Group has been named one of the Best Accounting Firms to Work for in the small category.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business;
- Be a publicly or privately held business;
- Have a facility in the United States;
- Have at least 15 employees working in the United States;
- Must be in business a minimum of 1 year;
- Be an accounting firm.

Accounting firms from across the country entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Accounting Firms to Work for. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated firm's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top firms and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings.
