Carney’s Kids Foundation Announces 11th Annual “Taste of Restaurant Tuesday” Event Oct. 29

Sept. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- (ST. LOUIS) – Carney’s Kids Foundation, a locally based not-for-profit  group that raises money and awareness for children’s charitable organizations, announced that its fall event, “Club Halloween,” will be held Friday, October 29, from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel – Clayton located at 7750 Carondelet, Clayton, Mo., 63105.

This year’s “Taste of Restaurant Tuesday” is the biggest fund-raiser for the group each year and will feature the area’s best restaurants serving their signature dishes. The evening’s entertainment will be masterfully covered by nationally known comedians Bill Burr and Ryan Stout performing killer sets. Other activities throughout the evening include silent auction and live auctions, and a costume contest.

“Our goal from this event is to raise enough money to give financial help to several children’s charities. All money raised goes directly to the charities. The Foundation is run by 100 percent volunteer support and we have no paid staff” said John Carney, Foundation founder and president, and KMOX Radio personality and host of the “Carney Show,” which airs weeknights from 8:00 – 12:00 p.m, Every Tuesday Carney features a local restaurant featuring the chef or owner, highlighting the special menu items and introducing listeners to unique aspects of the St. Louis culinary scene. Money raised at this year’s event will benefit Delta Gamma Center, Half the Sky Foundation, Litzsinger School, Rainbows for Kids, Ranken Jordan, and The St. Louis Crisis Nursery.
