Florida Association of Legal Document Preparers (FALDP) Announces First Annual Conference

Sept. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- The Florida Association of Legal Document Preparers (FALDP) is a new trade association promoting the efforts of its members to educate and empower citizens with their right to legal access. The Association will hold its first annual FALDP Conference on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m, at the El Caribe Resort & Conference Center, in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Two dynamic guest speakers will present. Joseph L. Delgado, Founder and Executive Director of "People United for Legal System Equality", (P.U.L.S.E.) will discuss citizens' Constitutional right to self-representation. For nearly 30 years Delgado has advocated for the cause -- through grassroots political action and consumer education.

Lisa Benitez, Clinical Director of Children’s Home Society, North Coastal Division, will speak about the traumatic effect of family crisis on children's lives. As a mental health counselor; adjunct professor; and director of Koinonia Counseling Center; Benitez shares helpful insights and practical information about family and children's issues gathered throughout her 15 year career.  

FALDP co-founder, Ken Diaz, legal document preparer and web entrepreneur will explain the Association’s vision; goals; and upcoming projects. Diaz will host two seminars: “Building a Better Website” and; “Internet Marketing.”

FALDP co-founder, Ruth Tick, will present ideas and insights about: “Best Business Practices”; "Avoiding UPL”; and “Customer Service”. She will offer attendees opportunities to partner with FALDP in marketing products and services.

Admission for the all day event is $75 per basic member, which includes an automatic upgrade to one-year annual premium membership. Members are invited to bring along one guest at no additional charge. The cost for non-members is only $100 and includes a one-year basic membership. A pre-conference get together has been planned for the evening of Friday, Oct. 8. It has tentatively been set for upstairs at the world famous Ocean Deck.
