Magic Show Conjures Up Modern Day Theatrical Success

As it readies to embark on its 100 city tour, The Gilday Magic Spectacular finds itself holding the title of America’s Largest touring magic/illusion show.

Sept. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Every time master magician Marc Gilday walks on stage, he brings with him a rich magical legacy that spans 3 decades. He has performed all across North and South America as well as a good part of Europe. He has performed on stage, television and in film (most recently appearing in the upcoming motion picture “Loosies”, where he also acted as “Pick Pocket” Coach).

However, when Gilday was getting set to embark on the largest Theatrical Tour of his career, he was delighted to find he will be doing so as the largest show of its kind in over 30 years. This title was held by Harry Blackstone Jr. since 1978 (Blackstone took his show to Broadway in 1980).

With its colorful scenery, spectacular costuming and some of the most baffling illusions ever presented, this production (with its cost of over one million dollars to mount) will feature an amazing cast of dancers, singers, a live orchestra (to provide its musical accompaniment), along with a non-human cast which includes doves, rabbits, a Zebra and a real live Tiger!

During Gilday’s 2 hour performance, over 100 feats of magic and illusion will be presented. Some of the new illusions added this year will leave even the most perceptive spectators dumfounded and totally entertained. Audiences will see a lady levitate 15 feet above the stage floor; cringe as 24 searing hot light bulbs penetrate a body, and watch in disbelief as a woman visibly transforms into a 400 lb Bengal Tiger!

Gilday, will debut his all new edition of The GILDAY Magic Show at the Historic Park Theatre in Cranston RI. Scheduled are 4 performances on November 26, 27 & 28, then onto 99 more towns.
