'Art at the Plaza' dubbed a 'sunny success' by borough officials

The Wormleysburg event at the new plaza in front of the Walnut Street Bridge was held Saturday September 25, sponsored by the Borough of Wormleysburg and organized by West Shore Gallery, Inc.

Sept. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Wormleysburg, PA - Wormleysburg Borough Council suggested holding an art-related event to draw attention to the new plaza at the foot of the Walnut Street Bridge in the Borough. Councilman Joseph Deklinkski contacted the West Shore Gallery, just opened at 100 S Front St in the borough, to assist with organizing the artists. The event was held Saturday September 25 from 4 PM to 7 PM.

Lawrence Knorr of West Shore Gallery, and Laurie Abiuso of the Wormleysburg Borough Revitalization Committee were present to coordinate the artists who came from surrounding communities. Patrons of Duke's, Dockside Willies and Rock Bass and other passersby checked out paintings, jewelry, clothing, digital art and books from a variety of artists.

Abiuso dubbed it  a 'sunny success'.
