We Agreed to Be Together Forever, But Now Where Are You

Sept. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- It was Tuesday morning, I could not figure out what happened in the past four days.  My head hurts like hurts like hell, I guess probably I had only slept two to three hours in the past few days.  A ring in side a box is sitting on my desk beside my bed,  which is my wedding ring.   Memories just kept coming back to me.   I stared at the wedding ring and my wedding certificate, trying to clarify the definition of both or what do they symbolize?  Two questions in my head “What is the real meaning of a wedding ring?” and “What’s the point of having a wedding certificate?”  I look through the internet and find the follow definition for wedding ring.

“The unbroken circle is an age-old symbol of eternity”

“Show the world that you have found a loving partner, a friend with whom you can share the rest of your life.”

as for the wedding certificate,

“It is a piece of paper written with your loving partner’s name and yours.  Pronouncing you guys are Husband and Wife”

My actual question is, do they really mean anything to us?  Well, on the other side of my desk lies a folder with a form, a divorce application form.  A form that will end my marriage with just one signature.

I finally got up and change in to my normal working clothes, colorful shirt and dress pants then went on to cleansing myself.  I picked up my bag, walked out to the street, the sun is shining bright and it hurts my eyes.  I looked at my watch, its already 7:10am, for sure I’m going to be late for work.  I ran all the way down hoping to catch my bus, however, missed one, two and three.  Unbelievable, I did not want to go to work anyway, but there is no way for me to skip work .  Therefore I took taxi to work.   It was a crazy busy day, however, my mind was not here in the company at all.  I kept looking at my watch and trying to figure out what time it was, well…the truth is, I should be at the airport, because the one I am going to divorce is leaving at 11am.
