Sept. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- The ALBERT devices are able to perform a semi-automatic tracking across cameras, thanks to the extraordinary cooperation capabilities between units and assisted camera surfing. The distributed intelligence allows these devices to exchange information between them, making an active cooperation possible, and launches an alarm only if necessary, with minimum set-up effort and no need of a central server.

Each ALBERT broadcasts its activities to other units, so that where an alarm occurs neighbouring devices can assist, moving to preset positions to protect high risk areas.

The ALBERT system offers an optimum site coverage with the minimum amount of cameras, due to:

       1. Proposes alternative live views of the event, to give more perspectives and a better view
       2. Automatically points the PTZ where the alarm is located
       3. On-board recording

- Advanced Video search and analysis capabilities

The ALBERT features an advanced, self-learning and self-adaptative Event Detector designed for outdoor dynamic scenarios. Minimum configuration parameters are needed. The system will automatically adapts parameters to moving trees, rain, light changes and shadows.

The ALBERT minimizes hardware and network bandwidth requirements; configuration and operational software is supplied in-bundle, no activation key/license needed. Free API available at www.videotec.com. Installation and operational costs are therefore minimized.

The new unique approach of ALBERT’s architecture makes the system particularly suitable for the optimal monitoring of perimeters and in general outdoor applications where multiple events can occur simultaneously and where operators are required to control a large number of cameras.
