Henderson Kia takes orders for 2011 Kia Optima Hybrid

Sept. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Las Vegas-NV --  The 2011 Kia Optima was officially introduced to wide acclaim at the 2010 New York Auto Show.  
The new 2011 Kia Optima possess the European-Asian look created by the Frankfurt and Irvine, CA design team. Under the sheet-metal the power-plant is an all new Theta II engine in a 2.4L cyl, or 2.0L Turbo boasting 200hp – 274hp respectively, along with a hybrid version (37/39 mpg),  due first quarter 2011. The distinctive sedan resembles a larger version of the Forte, another Kia best-seller launched earlier this year.
Courtesy Kia General Manager Jim Mooridian acknowledged great consumer interest for the new Optima from Kia, stating; “We have a growing list of orders with deposits for all three package options: LX, E and SX. When it arrives stateside, the Optima will feature the UVO Infotainment system made by Microsoft. Based on the local Henderson-Las Vegas market initial demand, I know this car will take off like the Kia Soul, Sportage, Forte, and Sorento. The Optima rounds out our car line and puts the Kia brand up against the best, with significant savings. 2011 is the year Kia gives the domestic and Japanese car makers a run for the money”
Built on the same platform as the Hyundai Sonata, Kia is currently manufacturing the Optima in Korea where it outsells its sister Hyundai.  Priced and packaged to compete against the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, consumers have eagerly embraced the Kia nameplate thanks to the 10 year/100,000 mile powertrian warranty, Five star safety ratings, smart-value pricing and sharp styling.
“We know we can sell every Optima we get, and Kia has promised to ramp-up manufacturing to meet our customer’s orders,” Mooridian continued.
