EPS Ltd. to Supply Cogeneration System for West End Community Centre in Guelph

Sept. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- EPS Ltd. (www.epsenergy.ca), Canada’s exclusive distributor of cogeneration systems manufactured by 2G Energietechnik (www.2-g.de) from Germany, has received an order from the City of Guelph for a 400 kW natural gas fuelled cogeneration system to be installed at the West End Community Centre in Guelph. This order represents the 3rd 2G-packaged cogeneration system destined for the Canadian market this year.

The West End Community Centre (WECC) is a modern, fully accessible, multi-purpose community centre that has a full range of facilities ranging from an aquatic facility to an NHL sized twin-pad arena to a gymnasium to community meeting rooms, café and a library complement the facility. The cogeneration system will provide power and heating to the community centre, improving the building’s energy efficiency, and help reduce Ontario’s greenhouse gas emissions. In the event of a power outage the CHP system will furthermore provide standby power to the community centre.

The 2G-packaged cogeneration system was selected by the City of Guelph for its outstanding quality and unique design features that include ‘best in class’, 2G optimized, high efficiency gas engine technology, factory designed, packaged and tested CHP module, fully integrated heat recovery system, integrated fresh and waste oil storage system, oversized, sound attenuated custom enclosure, and ease of integration with the existing building systems. Product support, service and maintenance will be provided by EPS through their dedicated and highly specialized service team located in the Guelph area.
