Alphasonik Award Winners at L.A. Recording School's SESSIONS Event

Sept. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- The Los Angeles Recording School recently held its first ever SESSIONS listening event on September 15. SESSIONS showcased music from students that had chance to play their work in front of other peers and get feedback from industry professionals.

During the event, which was sponsored by car audio manufacturer Alphasonik and featured guest DJ Salam Wreck, industry professionals judged and critiqued student samples of songs, as well as live performances. The top performers were awarded prizes courtesy of Alphasonik.

“It was great to see so many students participate in our first SESSIONS event,” said Marketing & Events Manager Cecilia Berry. “It provides a great forum for our students to display their talent. The industry panel of judges included: Bishop Lamont (Rapper), Adrian Miller (World Star Hip Hop), Ron “Amen-Ra” (Producer), Derick Gallegos (Manager), Scoop DeVille (Rapper), Young De (Rapper), Jay Turner (Producer), Fabian Duvernay (Former VP of Urban Marketing at Capitol Records ), and Livio Harris (Owner Who’s Harris Entertainment).

SESSIONS will be a continuing series on the LARS campus, so stay tuned for details on the next event.
