Local Law Firm Jaeger and Blankner wins Acquittal in Murder plot.

Sept. 21, 2010 - PRLog -- Kimberly Boone, 44, was on trial, charged with attempted premeditated murder. Robert Boone was wounded March 29, 2009, as he stood in the doorway to his garage about 5:40 a.m.

Detectives said Boone first told authorities an intruder shot her husband, but her attorney from the Orlando firm Jaeger and Blankner, said the shooting was an accident and that she mistook her husband for an intruder.

"I think there's clearly a reasonable doubt in this case," said defense attorney Francis Wesley "Buck" Blankner Jr. of Jaeger and Blankner a Criminal Defense firm in Orlando Florida.

Deputies who first arrived to the scene took the stand, saying they doubted Boone's story from the beginning, concerning who shot her husband but could not convince a jury of her guilt.

Blankner said that based on the findings by the jury in this case, he is considering whether or not to ask that his client be released on bond as she awaits her next trial.   "If this was the only case she was facing, she'd be released today," Blankner added.

She will now go back to the Seminole County Jail to await trial on the second attempted murder charge, a house fire in 2008 that sent her husband to the hospital with smoke inhalation

Blankner, in his closing argument blasted prosecutors, saying they had put on no evidence that the blaze was arson. He then suggested that Robert Boone, a former 15-year firefighter, had started it or had plotted with his wife to start it.
