The recent rash of carbon monoxide poisonings has health officials worried. Palm Beach County has seen an increase in poisonings and has more than 20 percent of the state’s total poisonings making it number one in the state. In regards to children nationwide, each year, nearly 30 children ages 14 and younger die from carbon monoxide poisoning according to the National SAFE KIDS Campaign.

Make sure that space heaters, furnaces, fireplaces, and wood-burning stoves are properly vented and inspected each year.
