Sept. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- After completely managing the business of his parents' world – paying bills, making decisions about health care, living situations, transportation, personal maintenance, banking, insurance, investments, real estate, taxes, legal issues and more, a family trustee and caregiver decided to help others do the same.

"There's a mountain of information and resources out there for trustees and caregivers," commented trustee Kirk Harney. "The problem is there's TOO MUCH information." In an effort to help others who are dealing with their elderly parents, he wanted to make it easier.

Calling on the experience gained by managing his parents' live for almost four years, www.CareForElderlyParents is offering a focused, concise, easy to use elder care guide for caregivers and trustees.  "By providing tools, resources, ideas, personal stories and shared experiences, in a format that will encourage connections and conversations, the tremendous amount of information is managed and made useful," said Mr. Harney.

Caregivers, trustees, assisted living facility nurses and workers, physicians, pharmacists, lawyers - anyone involved in the care of aging parents - are invited to join the conversation and use the information provided to help manage this daunting task.

Kirk Harney is an experienced family trustee and caregiver who is passionate about helping others with this important role. He is currently preparing for his second trustee/caregiver role as his Godmother ages and he makes plans to help her.
