US Solargy, Inc. set to build largest hotel solar energy system
US Solargy, Inc., announced today that it will design, build and finance the largest solar PV (photovoltaic) project ever used by a US hotel under an agreement recently reached with the Wyndham Hotel located in Mount Laurel, NJ.

The 20-year solar PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) requires the hotel to pay only for the solar power produced at its facility, and nothing toward the capital costs of the system.
This will provide the Wyndham Hotel with a predictable and stable energy bill that will be significantly less than current electricity rates for years to come. The pact will save the hotel money and represents a major step in the hotel’s continued commitment to preserve the environment.
“Businesses want to make decisions that benefit the community without breaking their budgets,” David Wei, Chairman and CEO of US Solargy, Inc, said. “Our solar PPA will enable businesses such as the Wyndham Hotel to both significantly reduce its electricity expenses while making environmental stewardship a realistic priority.”
Under the 20-year contract, US Solargy will build, own and maintain the estimated 1.4-megawatt solar PV system for the Wyndham Hotel. The solar system will produce an estimated 1,680,000 kilowatts hour (kWh) of renewable energy in the first year of operation, which is the equivalent to removing the annual emissions from 240 passenger vehicles, while saving the hotel $6 million over the 20-year life of the agreement.
“Our Solar PPA removes most financial hurdles, making it easy and affordable for businesses to go solar,” Mr. Wei said. “We can provide solar energy without maintenance costs or capital investment to anyone, who wants to make this decision, which will help their finances and the environment.”
