Social Media Week Global Press Conference, Live at The Paley Center for Media LA on Mon. 9/22 at 9am

Sept. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- WHO:   The Paley Center for Media invites you to attend the Social Media Week Global Press Conference

WHAT:   The next edition of Social Media Week (http://socialmediaweek.org) is nearly upon us and will launch next week in Los Angeles, Milan, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City from September 20-24. Lead global sponsors for SMW are Meebo and Salesforce Chatter, and global media partners include the Financial Times, Fox Latin American Channels, WIRED, Fast Company, El Tiempo (Columbia), SkyTG24 (Italy), and El Universal (Mexico).  LA Weekly is the “Headline Local Media Partner” for the week of events.

Inner-City Arts is the inaugural non-profit beneficiary of Social Media Week Los Angeles.  

With over 150 events--panels, workshops, parties, demos, tweet-ups--taking place across these five cities and thousands likely to attend, we are expecting another amazing week.

Speakers at the press conference include Toby Daniels, Founder and Executive Director of Social Media Week; Erick Brownstein, Lead Organizer for Social Media Week LA, Craig Hitchcock, Executive Director of The Paley Center for Media and the other four Social Media Week city partners; along with Pip Marquez de la Plata, SVP of Marketing, Meebo; Sharyn Church, Deputy Director, Inner-City Arts; and other Social Media Week partners and advisory board members for a press briefing to kick off the global conference. Toby and each City Partner will provide highlights for the week and showcase what is happening in each of the participating cities. The event will wrap up with a Q&A.
