Duratread OTR Tires announces price increase from October 4th, 2010

Sept. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- From October 4th, Duratread will implement a price increase of around 5% on all OTR Tires in the Duratread range including Mining Tires, Construction Tires, Port Tires and Industrial Tires.
 
The price change reflects a steep increase in the price of Natural Rubber (NR) which has advanced by just over 50% over the last year, as well as price increases in energy and transport.  Natural Rubber is a major component in OTR Tire Manufacturing using a significantly higher proportion of NR in the manufacturing process than in other tire segments, such as passenger tires.
