Sept. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- A.B. Data, Ltd., proudly announces the opening of its California office this month. With its new office in San Francisco, A.B. Data expands its reach by serving its West Coast clients more closely than ever before.

This additional office will provide clients with greater access to A.B. Data’s superlative skill in administering and consulting for a wide range of class actions: from billion-dollar settlements with tens of millions of class members to classes of fewer than 100, including classes with difficult, hard-to-reach demographics or classes sprawling across hundreds of nations. To all these and more, A.B. Data brings to each matter the same incisive operational expertise, technical accuracy, legal knowledge, and creative approach.

Spearheading this effort is Peter Smith, Esq. Pete joins the company as Vice President, Business Development. Mr. Smith has been in the legal industry for over 20 years, has practiced as a civil litigator and trial lawyer at Am Law 100 firms (specializing in antitrust, employment, intellectual property, and complex litigation), and has served law firms and in-house legal departments across the globe in a variety of capacities—all with the aim toward making the practice of law more efficient both for the practitioner and for the ultimate client.

Mr. Smith is a University of San Francisco School of Law alumnus with an undergraduate degree in International Business Management from San José State University. He also holds two certificates with highest honors from the Defense Language Institute. Mr. Smith is a U.S. Army Military Intelligence Corps veteran (101st Airborne Division) and donates hundreds of hours per year coaching attorneys in professional development. He also writes frequently on a number of blogs and has been quoted widely in the legal press.
