The New York Urban League Young Professionals get football fans ready for the college football season with an annual pre-party to the New York Urban League’s 39th Annual Football Classic

Sept. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- The New York Urban League Young Professionals (NYULYP) are preparing for Bragging Rights!, the annual pre-party bash to be held on Friday, September 24, 2010 starting at 11pm at PT212.

As one of the hottest parties of the year for young professionals and college football fanatics, Bragging Rights! is designed to celebrate the 39th Annual New York Urban League Football Classic in style, while raising funds for programs such as the NYULYP Emerging Leaders Scholarship Fund for outstanding college-bound students in the New York area.

Now in its fourth year, Bragging Rights! continues the tradition of celebrating the black college experience and higher education by bringing the ultimate pre-game event to students, alumni and New Yorkers the night before the big game.

This elaborate kick-off to the big game isn’t just about partying. “Bragging Rights! is an exciting way for alumni, visitors and Urban Leaguers to come together and officially begin a weekend devoted to raising funds for scholarships, continuing a nearly 40 year tradition.” Rahshib Thomas, President of the New York Urban League Young Professionals, says of the event. “In addition, scholarship recipients not only receive much needed finds, but they are mentored by Urban Leaguers, which ensures their academic and social success. Bragging Rights! is a night of dancing, networking and enjoying beverages provided by our friends at Coors Light. Partying with a purpose never rang truer.”

To ensure this soiree is an exciting affair, the NYULYP has partnered with Coors Light to provide beverages and free schwag for party goers.  Additionally, The Legendary Chris Washington will spin music all night long.  This is sure to be the hottest party of the season!

The New York Urban League Young Professionals look forward to seeing everyone at Bragging Rights! 2010, presented by Coors Light.  Tickets are $15 in advance online and $20 at the door.
PT212 is located at 30 West 24th Street  between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Doors open at 11 pm.
