Sept. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- SAN CLEMENTE- A recent custom home remodeling project located in sunny San Clemente, California was in need of extensive sub floor repair and resurfacing. Often times during these types of total custom remodeling projects the sub floors are old, worn or damaged from the removal of the previous finished floor coverings. On this particular project the foundation floor consisted of a concrete slab area and plywood sub floors in need of smoothing and leveling in order to receive a beautiful hand crafted hardwood flooring. Covalt effected the repairs and resurfacing in one day by applying our high strength, self leveling cement underlayment compound to the entire sub floor area. Once complete the slab was now flat, smooth and ready to accept the hardwood flooring. Self leveling underlayment systems are ideal for the repair of damaged sub flooring including slabs and wooden sub floors. This is accomplished through the utilization of cement toppings that are poured onto the uneven floor surface. The Covalt underlayment system avoids the unnecessary expense of complete slab removal and replacement saving time and money for it's clients.
