Morgan State University Expands Noventri Digital Signage Network

Sept. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Noventri recently deployed the second phase of the campus’ digital signage project at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. Using Noventri as their digital signage source, the university equipped meeting rooms with small screens placed outside the doorways so passersby could readily recognize activities scheduled for specific rooms.
Working closely with William Clemm II, the Assistant Director of Operations at the Student Center at Morgan State, Noventri expanded the campus’ existing digital signage network. In 2008 Noventri installed the SF-3000, a high-end, powerful digital signage solution manufactured exclusively by Noventri to power screens throughout the newly built student center.
In the second phase Noventri powered screens located outside of meeting rooms throughout the campus. Noventri installed nine Eco-Series SF-100e Digital Signage Players, also manufactured exclusively by Noventri. The players dynamically pull content, created by Noventri, from an SQL database.
“The information or content is specific to each meeting room. The data being pulled is coming from two different tables within the database,” says Tim Rollins, Sr. Project Manager at Noventri. “ All in all it was a very complicated database setup that is currently running perfectly as expected.”
“The objective for Morgan State was to move away from the ‘cork board’ method of disseminating information,” remarks Clemm. “Noventri was a good fit for our needs in that they were able to work with our scheduling system. They offered complete flexibility rather then having to use another company’s pre-determined programming. I love these guys [their] customer service is great!”
